I live on a farm and cluster flies gather in our windows every fall. I hang these strips in the windows and the flies bump into it as they fly around--one bump and they're caught. It doesn't catch all flies--and it rarely catches Asian beetles, unfortunately--but it catches most of them. It's safe--much better than spraying pesticides--and it doesn't use energy. Perfect for my needs. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because sometimes when you pull one out of the tube the fly paper tears off--then it's useless unless you can tape it back together.

I determined that my time would be better spent doing other things so I purchased the Black Flag TAT Fly Paper. It's easy to use, does it job of attracting the pests and making sure they do not further buzz anybody in the house. This product is a wise choice for me.

Fantastic job Poulan! Who would think a single stage could do so much! This unit blows away the Toro and Yard machines units that sell for $100 more at Home. This snow thrower has a few bugs to work out. the biggest complaint I have with this machine is that it throws snow back on the operator. it's handle is too high making this snow thrower difficult to handle. on the plus side, it is easy to start thanks to the electric start on it.

There's nothing on the market that pushes through as deep snow as this does with only a single stage. It starts on the first pull every time and never slows down, even though the heaviest wet snow. I filled mine with Royal Purple 10w30 and haven't regretted it. I'm not one to use the factory fill when there are drastically superior synthetics available. My only gripe is the lack of inclusion of a cable for electric starting, but I've yet to even need to try it since it starts on the first pull every single time regardless of the temperature.

This vendor will send you Generac 070185F (not "B") filters. The F filters are 3/4" longer than the B filters; otherwise, they are identical. It says on the filter that they are 30% larger for more filter capacity. Since they are OEM quality, i.e., Generac brand, a longer filter is a welcome improvement. That was very helpful. We have a similar deer problem. The ultra sonic deer devices did not help (hit distance too small / need many to form a blockade). A 4 foot fence did not help. Motion sensing flood lights do startle them but do not scare them away. Covering the plants with plant protector bags does work but since we have more than 10 plants to cover this is a lot of work and last night since it was raining all day they decided to show up 4 hours early at around 7:30 PM instead of 11:30 so they were able to take down the last remaining hosta buds.

I work from home quite often and sit close to our plantings and have noticed deer staring at our plants from the neighbors yard at noon, that's right noon. I'm not sure how often they do this but it only takes a few visits to wipe out the plants. So I feel like our scarecrow needs to be on around the clock. We have sidewalks, and neighbors in their yards to contend with, so we've tried to fine tune the sensitivity and sprinkler range. However, it seems like white, flat sided service trucks set this thing off regardless of the sensitivity. Mail trucks, garbage trucks, street sweeper, etc will set this off from a great distance, at the same setting a person would have to be very close to trigger it.

It weighs the perfect amount (hasn't been blown over even in this horrible weather with gusts of wind in excess of 100mph, and yet it's still light enough for me to lift and carry as I see fit). The ash catcher is large enough to accommodate 3-4 loads before needing emptied.
This Weber I love. Everything about it seems perfect. I have some complaints (and I'll get to those soon, I promise) but overall I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I know it makes no sense to say that a grill has improved my cooking, but as far as I'm concerned it has. My pork chops have been consistently cooked properly and juicy. My steaks have been delicious.

I noticed that the assembly manual pictured two parts, a pair of charcoal rails, that were not included in the box. I called Weber customer support, and they explained that the wrong manuals were sent out with some of the grills, and I wasn't actually missing the charcoal rails. Then they offered to send me the charcoal rails for free anyway! That kind of customer service is rare in my opinion and sets Weber apart. I'm very confident that they'll stand behind their products if anything happened to go wrong.

The battery in this model was built in, so you didnt have the option of switching to a second charged battery. This was never a issue for me, as I was able to complete my trimming on one charge. I recycled the 12v trimmer by giving it to a friend who still uses it to this day. I then upgraded to an 18v version only because I decided I wanted a cordless blower and hedge trimmer. The cost of getting a package with all three was too good to pass up. I live in Florida, and it's hot in the summer doing yard work. When the battery runs out of energy, so do I, so it works out well for me. This product prevents heat stroke too! But in all seriousnes, it does the job needed to do well. I would recomend this highly.

After watching a couple commercials on the Worx 18v lith ion trimmer, I fully intended on trying it out. After doing a little research and reading the problems people had regarding getting any customer support, I figured why mess with success. I admit I have never been impressed with the actual styling of the BD. My old electric trimmer was nothing but a hassle to deal with; it needed a long cord, I hated bumping it to get more string, the string got tangled, etc and as a result, I had not trimmed the yard for nearly 4 years. That's a problem due to all the rock-edged beds we've put in as well as a lot of sidewalks on our nearly quarter acre.

if you either put the shelving pieces together first, then stack them, or give a gentle tap with a hammer as you go so the one you just finished doesn't come loose while you're working on the next section. One side bonus I found to this system - since the pots are sealed inside the greenhouse, the need to water was cut by less than half. Anyone who has started seeds knows how difficult it can be to carefully water not sprouted or newly sprouted plants without disturbing the seeds or seedlings. This greenhouse kept the humidity in well enough that very little watering was necessary. Also, the top shelf is tall enough that some of the larger plants I started (bush beans especially!) have plenty of room to take off until I can get them outside. This greenhouse rack if just the right size to place in front of one side of my patio doors so the plants can get plenty of light. There just aren't any plants that survive in that much shade. I've used those shelves for pots and potting supplies. Also, the clearance between the top of the zip-up flap and the top shelf is too narrow for my plants, so when I pull them out, I end up having to tilt the pot or bend plants to get them out. I was a little worried that the materials would be sub-par because the purchase price was so much lower than similar products. But, the materials are good and I'm not sure why anyone would pay $300.00 for the same type of greenhouse. So glad I found this product.

This product doesn't use bristles or brushes, but a fairly firm foam material, that doesn't seem to scratch the paint on your car. It makes cleaning heavy snow off of the car at least twice as fast as any similar product I've tried before.

Saves a lot of time. I can clear out a fully covered compact car in under 30 seconds, roof and all. My neighbors look at me like I'm using a magic wand or something. Though a negative side effect of this is that my car is not sufficiently warmed up by the time I'm done with snow removal duty.

I tell everyone who will listen that they need to get this for themselves. It came in especially handy this past winter, which was the worst one we've seen in New England in a very long time. This is the best tool I've ever owned for getting snow off of my car. I can clear my Subaru Forester in under two minutes using this. I wish that I'd had this when I lived in Syracuse.

I have had it a week and it looks and smells fresh as it did on day one. I have 2 female cats. I have one litter box upstairs and one downstairs. i replaced the upstairs box with this one and left the regular litter box downstairs. Since i first placed the thing on the floor, they both took to it immediately. They were so fascinated with the moving rake that they actually used it again right after it completed the cleaning cycle. They almost never use the downstairs box anymore and almost exclusively use this one. The cardboard box that contains the crystals magically seems to never get wet and, once the rake comes by to make its pass through, the crystals seem dried out by then too. Without being too graphic, one of the cats even had a little diarrhea and the rakes handled it without any mess (so long as it is covered in the crystals). I am probably going to order another one to replace the downstairs box too. I know the price is quite high but the continuous cleaning of this box is just what my cats need. They get fussy about the regular boxes because they are a bit territorial and when one box has the smell of the other cat they'll just go on the floor (which is kind of ridiculous considering i cleaned the boxes every day). But something about this box keeps them coming back and they haven't done anything naughty on the floor since i put it down. I think the expense is definitely worth it to protect my hardwood floors. I could see how it might not be useful for everybody's needs but it's working out great for my cats.

The posts are not nonstick, so if you choose to remove the paddles you will need to turn the posts from the bottom with pliers (only because they are extremely HOT) to release the loaf; one full turn will do. It is worth the effort to keep from having large voids left behind by the stirring paddles. Also having a rectangular loaf is a pleasure long overdue from breadmakers. I highly recommend using the Shaker wooden slicing guide instead of the plastic. With the wood you control the width of the slices.

This is a great little unit for small driveways and walkways. It LOOKS under-powered, but looks can be deceiving. Electric motors actually have more torque than gas powered of a similar size. I've used it in 12-14 inches of snow and it did alright, even though it doesn't have self-drive and you have to push it. It is best not to let anything accumulate over 8-10 inches, then it cuts through it like butter. It also is good and scraping right down to the concrete. It does alright with 6 inches of packed / slushy stuff too, but it is far better to use it when the snow is fairly fresh. While you can't really compare this to much larger gas powered snow blowers that were meant to throw much deeper snow, compared to a gas powered unit of similar size, or slightly larger... this thing is superior. You don't have to worry about maintaining it or starting it after it's been sitting for nearly a year. The handle detaches and you can put the unit on a shelf, so it doesn't take up much garage space. About the only drawback is keeping the cord out of the way as you back up, but you get used to it. Make sure you use a good 15+ Amp heavy duty extension cord or you may run into problems. If you live in an area where the snow accumulation of 12+ inches in one night is a rare thing, and you have a small driveway and walkway to clear... this is perfect little unit, especially for the price and the maintenance-free aspects. I shoveled our driveway with the first big snow of this last season and had a 2 day back ache. I've used this unit a half-dozen times since, an as far as I'm concerned... it paid for itself the first time I used it!

Absolutely wonderful product! Normally when shoveling snow, I last for about 15 minutes before needing to pause, and my back aches horribly. This morning I shoveled about 75% of my driveway in 30 minutes, and now low back-ache!

When I received my Wovel, the packaging was a bit beat up, and there were pieces of plastic broken off of the wheel. I contacted customer service, who handled things wonderfully, and who promptly shipped out a replacement wheel. Because the pieces that were broken may have weakened the wheel but not rendered it completely useless, I went ahead and put things together with the chipped wheel. I'm so very glad I did. With this shovel, I'm no longer have to wait for my children to come dig me out when there is a snow fall; it has given me a small amount of my independence back.

It isn't fun to put together, but I still give the product and customer service 5 stars.

I do not over-use superlatives, but I must say that this is the best shower-head we've ever used! There is a setting for everyone (under 5'9"---keep reading!), but that can be said of many shower-heads on the market. Not many shower-heads on the market---believe me, I've bought a few!---can blast the conditioner out of my thick, curly hair with the water pressure in my bathroom. Wow! My shower time was reduced by at least 3 minutes.

All of the good things advertised about this unit are true. It installs easily, it has three spray sources (top, hand-held unit, and both), and four spray patterns from the handheld unit.

Some possible drawbacks: If you need a strong spray from the top while using the detached hand-held sprayer, this might not be the product for you. I found the top spray to be very weak while using the detached hand-held sprayer. Then again, the bathroom in which I'm using this does not have great water pressure. Also, if your shower-head is mounted at a standard distance from the floor of your shower and you are more than 5'9", this unit may not work for you. It mounts a few inches lower than other handheld shower-heads.

I can't tell you how embarrassing it is to be given a houseplant as a gift and watch it die right when your friend makes his way back for a visit. Not fun. The easybloom plant sensor is really easy to use right out of the box (just plug it into your usb port on you pc, install the software, and create an easybloom user account - all within 5 minutes). I used it in water mode first to check my potted plants, and it promptly beeped at me telling me I needed to water some plants. Now I'm using it in monitor mode which should give me feedback on my poor freesia to figure out what's wrong with it. It's just putting on the handlebars, seat, front tire, front fender and pedals. I didn't have to assemble the gears or anything. That was all done. The only confusing part was that the instruction manual was for several different kinds of bikes, and you had to read through a lot to get to the right bike. But if you're mechanically inclined, it's easy enough to figure out just by looking at the bike parts, which is what I did after getting annoyed with the instructon manual.

The cost was worth it to me since I love the bike so much. Decals and fenders were in tact upon delivery but it was missing one front axle nut which was easily replaced at my local bike repair shop as well. I would highly recommend this bike to any woman looking for a comfortable ride with style.

They are conventional design of galvanized steel and are not hot dipped. They will rust quickly as soon as a scratch appears in the thin zinc coating. The paint bonds poorly to the zinc coating and quickly (one year) comes off in large flakes.

The Plastic latch and flag hinge quickly UV degrade become cracked and brittle as they lose their plasticizers. Parts are not readily available and are relatively expensive.

In short this is a once durable product that is now so cheapened as to be unsatisfactory. unfortunately there are few alternatives on the market at reasonable prices.

Just bought the sno brum and love it. We just had 17.5 inches of snow in Wisconsin and it worked great. This is the only product I could find to remove snow from a vehicle.

A repair shop told me about the Sno Brum. They use it for all their outside vehicles. It does a good job of removing snow, while not damaging the paint.

Although we have not chance to use it, it seems as if it it will be suffient to ose to get snow off the roof of our SUV.

I got one of these from a friend two winters ago, and it's the best tool for snow removal I've used. I still have my ice scraper, since this won't remove ice, but it did wonders for those overnight dumps of 18-24 inches that we got in the northeast last year. I'm buying one for some Florida friends who will be experiencing winter for the first time in the northeast this year!

The sturdy construction and steel front edge can even make a dent in those dreaded piles of street-plow "snowcrete". I'm not sure if this is supposed to come with instructions, but I didn't get any. It was clumsy and awkward to use at first, but once I started thinking of it as part front-end loader and part toboggan/sled -- the fun-factor went way up and the snow started flying. Create a ramp/sluice to a convenient dumping spot with the first load, then at the end either jerk back on the handle or else twist left/right to eject the snow. The poly scoop has low surface affinity for snow, so it slides on top of and ejects snow from it with ease. Definitely the best $40 I've ever spent on a snow removal tool.

Ruggedly made plastic pan for the shovel. Just what I was looking for. Modified nicely for a front skid pan under my 4X4 pickup.

It works fairly well on small driveways; don't forget to pick up a nice long outdoor-use electric extension cord. And use this only on paved surfaces...no loose gravel!

But the real benefit of this tool comes with walkways and DECKS.

If you've got a large driveway, pass on this and go for something with a little more power. If you've got a decent size walkway, you'll love this. It clears the snow with ease and it will last forever; my father-in-law has had his since the early 90s.

If you have a deck with a railing, and your deck isn't covered so it builds up with snow, the Toro Electric Shovel will become your best winter friend. The snow is propelled a good 25 feet and easily clears deck railings. Just don't shoot the snow into the wind (duh). No more throwing out your back from lifting heavy snow over railings with this baby.

I liked mine so much I purchased one ...for my brother...I have read people who are concerned with the power of an electric. The Toro has plenty of power and higher RPMs than a gas thrower. No blower works great in all condition. However in the snow we have had here in northern NJ it has no problem throwing snow 20 to 30 feet. I highly recommend this thrower. It is better than throwers in its class that and a little larger. But its not a match for a big rig. I have read some complain about small wheels. The wheels are just fine thank you! This blower will blow snow like crazy but It is not up to punching through the plow wall. I break up the plow wall with a shovel then blow it away. I calculate several inches of snow on my driveway weighs about 40 tousand pounds. This blower moves almost all of that and saves your back and heart for having fun in the snow.

I've owned a Toro 1800 for several years...Which is why I'm shopping around for a bigger and more powerful snow blower

It's our first Christmas in our new home. So when last week's ice storm brought down a 22-foot bough from one of our white pines we jumped at our good fortune. The problem? This bough was heavy as hell - even after I would trim it down to 16-feet in arched glory. Our plastic Walmart tree stand was out. So, yesterday, Dec 20, 2008, we went to our local Waterloo garden center and bought this stand at 40% off its original price of $160 (i.e., ~$100). We were hoping to find a stand with a bit more design panache - but now this one's completely grown on us. It's functional but it's got a great festivus red finish. It holds A LOT of water. And the tri-pod design - versus a circular frame - adds to the versatility of placing the tree closer to the wall then you ever could with a similarly rated round tree stand. Speaking of ratings, we are definitely stressing the design parameters here with a 16' pine bough that arches out into the center of the room

Just a thought though the manufacturer should include sizers for the trunk of the trees. My artifical trees bottom was smaller than the whole for it to go in so I had to make a sizer so the tree would stand straight.

This tree stand saved my butt. For the second time I was using one of the cheap plastic tree stands you can get at big box stores. Even though the stand was supposed to support a 6-foot tree it immediately cracked and was leaking water on my carpet. I found this steel stand on Amazon and ordered it right away, taking a chance since there weren't any reviews on it yet. It got here quickly, before my tree died. Assembly was a breeze. Made in Canada, not China! The design and workmanship is flawless. For example, the support screws sit up high, above the water line, so they don't get rusted. There is a center support that I wasn't able to use this year because I had to switch stands after the tree was already decorated but I will for sure use it next year.
